I rode cutting horses for a little while, and I must say it was one of my favorite disciplines to try. The horses are bred beautifully and it’s the only sport where you can run full speed on a horse, skid to a stop, spin in three circles and take off again. Sounds awesome, right?! And to make it even more fun, you incorporate cattle and can begin cutting in and out of them.
I personally love cutting because it’s one of those practices that you actually use on a ranch. Cattle ranches need horses that are fast and agile to help direct huge groups of cattle.
